One of Austin's birthday presents was his first pair of skates- they are adorable! They are the kind that fit over his shoes. We actually ended up getting the exact skates for two of his friends' birthdays this month (that way they could skate together!) Anyway, he tried them out this past weekend & we helped him roll around the house! The great thing is that they have several stages- 1) lock to where he can just walk, 2) only roll forward, and 3) free roll. We didn't take him outside... just rolled around on the wood floor.
Anyway, I went to Target yesterday & he picked out a Spiderman helmet (which came with a horn for his "bike"/ AKA tricycle.) After we got home I put the helmet on him & he LOVES it. He runs around the house & keeps looking in the mirror at himself. He also loves the horn.. but it's conveniently gone missing for a few days! :) The cats can thank me later.

I remember a friend of mine had skates like that growing up! What a perfect birthday present.
Can't wait to see him skating away! Maybe he can bring those over when Seth "babysits" him for money. ;)
