Mama's boy

Just a few recent shots of my mama's boy...

Snuggling before bed

Pointing out Mommy's moles (he tries to pick them off like they're stickers- OUCH!)

Keeping me company when I was sick

Bounce house with Alex & Addison

Today we met my friend, Janell, and her two kids (Alex & Addison- almost 4 yrs old) at the bounce house place! It is one of Austin's favorite places to go, so I knew he would have a fun time- and he did! The kids were worn out after an hour, so we left & got some pizza for lunch! A great day with great friends- can't wait to do it again!

I didn't have my camera, but Janell sent me a few pictures that she took!

Addison, Alex, & Austin going down the slide (I love that they're all holding hands!)

Obviously he's having fun...

The twins- such a team!

CRASH!

Valentine

A few pictures of my valentine before we headed to his preschool party!

Can't believe he will be 3 years old next month!

Who's his valentine? Mommy of course!

Love the fake smile

At the party with his friend, Kara! I think she is just precious!

His goody bag full of valentines

A heart magnet Austin made for us!

Play date with Scott

My friend, Kristen, asked if I could watch her youngest (Scott 2yrs old) for a few hours on Monday! I was very anxious to see how the boys would get along, and honestly thought I'd spend the entire time entertaining them. Boy was I WRONG! They had so much fun together & I was able to get a lot done! I'm thinking we need to adopt a 2 yr old... or maybe just have Scott over to play more often! :)

Playing with the piggy bank

Can you tell Scott loved the cats?

Too many cooks in the kitchen

Watching a movie, Happy Feet

Scott- trying his hardest not to smile at the crazy lady who is dancing while taking pictures! I'll do anything for a good shot!

Blog books

Every January I work on turning my previous year's blog into a book- I love having a hard copy of everything we did during the year with corresponding photos! It is hands down better than any photo album or scrapbook that I own! I also order copies for my mom and mother-in-law, so it's a great Christmas gift too!

This year it took me a little longer than usual because I had made a resolution to blog more in 2010. Well my book ended up being 238 pages with 903 pictures!

I get a lot of question on how to make a blog book & what the finished product looks like- so here goes! You go to blurb.com & download their free BookSmart software, import your blog, and then edit it using their templates. It is time consuming, but worth every minute!

It arrived!

Imagination Movers Big Warehouse Tour

Last Sunday we had tickets to the Imagination Movers Big Warehouse concert! I wasn't sure how Austin would do, but he actually did really well considering the concert started during his normal nap time! He loved dancing to the music & also did quite a bit of snacking during the show! We left a few minutes before it ended, which worked out great because we didn't have to deal with the crowds. Austin had a meltdown on the way home- just entirely too tired & not wanting to give in to sleep. But overall it was a good first experience!

Ice & snow storm

A few weeks ago we experienced a pretty significant ice storm (followed by a few inches of snow.) The temperatures were in the single digits, so the ice stayed around for almost a week & school was canceled for 4 days! Most people enjoyed having the time "off", but with Shane working & us housebound.. it was miserable! But Austin did enjoy going outside to play at the end of the week!

Some new "firsts"

I wanted to post these pics/videos to document some "firsts"~

While Gigi was visiting last week, she got Austin to dip his apples into caramel (he NEVER dips anything.) So tonight we were having a hamburger after church and he was dipping everything into ketchup.. and so it begins.

Austin is one of those rare children that actually said "yes" before "no"- in fact, he just said "no" for the first time this week. And even though I don't like it, I think it's the most adorable little "no" that I've ever heard! He's also obsessed with stop lights- and telling us when they turn green! :)
