Elf on the Shelf… Part 2

Our elf, Buddy, kept himself pretty busy for the second half of December!  We celebrated Christmas early because we traveled this year, so Buddy ended up going back to the North Pole with Santa a few days early!

A Christmas countdown for Austin AND one for Buddy

Preschool Christmas Program

This afternoon we FINALLY had Austin's preschool Christmas program (it was rescheduled twice because of the ice storm.)  Austin's class, the Big Bugs, performed the song "Away in a Manager."  Austin was a shepherd and he did such a great job… they all did!

Enjoying cookies in Austin's classroom after the show!

Breakfast with Santa & Christmas Party

This morning we went to Breakfast with Santa at our church- this was the first year we've attended, and it was so much fun!  I had no idea there would be so much to do… we spent the entire 2 hours doing activities!

Pancake breakfast- we ran into Alex, Jody, and Addison

Making a Christmas ornament

In addition they had necklace making & story time with Mrs. Claus… but we didn't have time to do everything.  Such a fun morning!

In the evening we went to a Christmas party at the house of friends from preschool, Matt & Ryan.  There were 5 families invited, and we all enjoyed making some new friends.  Their mom, Christy, had tons of activities planned for the kids- painting dough ornaments, decorating sugar cookies, nativity scene craft, handprints on canvas to make a Christmas tree, story time, & dinner.  Needless to say, we were exhausted by the time we go home last night!

Ornament Austin painted (with help from mommy)

Christmas tree handprint canvases- so cute!  She will add tree stump and a star at the top.

More cookie decorating… more sugar
