Halloween

We had a great Halloween this year- a busy day!  We started off with sausage rolls and donuts (more sugar... why not!)  Afterwards Austin headed off to a fun day at preschool- complete with a costume parade and fall party!

After school we had a spooky snack- ritz & peanut butter spiders and banana ghosts

For dinner we had a pumpkin shaped pepperoni pizza, salad, and fruit (pineapple, mandarine oranges, topped with whip cream and a candy corn!)  And Austin's favorite- orange soda!

Next up- a caramel apple bar for dessert!  Austin had fun choosing all of his toppings

After dinner we changed back into costume and headed to our old neighborhood to trick-or-treat with our former neighbors and good friends!  Austin had so much fun with the kids and we really enjoyed catching up with the adults!  Such a fun tradition- I hope we can keep it up!

This year we opted to paint our pumpkin instead of carving it... and a minion from Despicable Me was perfect!  So pleased with how it turned out!!

The Big Apple

I recently made a quick trip to New York City with a dear friend of mine, Janell!  We had been planning to have a fun girls weekend, and this ended up being JUST that!  While there we were able to hang out with a college friend, Jamie, and also meet her new husband!  She has lived in NYC for almost 10 years, so she knew all the fun/local places to shop and eat!  We also enjoyed just spending time walking the city & walking peacefully through Central Park!  The fall foliage was also amazing, and it made me miss our time living in Connecticut!

NEW

Well it finally happened... our washing machine quit working.  So what does that mean?  A SHINY NEW SET!!!  I opted for an LG top loading high efficiency set (extra large capacity)- and I LOVE THEM!  

Western Day

Austin's preschool had their annual Western Day today!  He dressed up in his new cowboy boots and had a great time riding the horses and petting all of the farm animals!  This is one of his favorite activities at preschool every year... and I have to admit, he's a pretty cute cowboy!

Pumpkin Patch... sort of.

Today we were out and about and decided to stop in to our local nursery & pick out some pumpkins.  Turns out they had a really cute setup for pictures and a bounce house that kept Austin very entertained!  Needless to say, we never made our annual pumpkin patch visit... so this will have to do for 2013!

College Girlfriends Weekend

This weekend my 4 closest girlfriends from college were in town- I love this annual get-together!  Brooke, Karie, and Jean flew in on Thursday night and stayed until Sunday!  I didn't get many pics, but we had SO MUCH FUN!  We stayed at Suzanne's house (AKA- the Seidel B&B)... as usual, she spoiled us!  Lots of home cooking, eating out, shopping, chatting, and laughing!  Love these girls so much!
