Father/Son Camping Trip

Shane took Austin on a Father/Son camping trip this weekend! They went with 3 other fathers & sons, and all seemed to have a wonderful time! Shane knew it was going to be a lot of work to keep up with a rowdy 3 year old, but I think it went a lot better than expected!

When we pulled our tent out the night before the trip, it was broken. So we went out and got a new tent- much bigger (down side to that- it took Shane 45 minutes to put it up by himself.)

Please note all these pics were taken from Shane's iPhone- and seeing how he was busy chasing Austin around the camp, he didn't get a lot....

After the tent was all set up, they guys sat around and visited while the boys played. They did a little hiking before dinner (hot dogs, chips, and smores for dessert.) Then more playing and digging in the dirt before bedtime.

The next morning they woke up & had breakfast (Austin and Shane slept until 8am, everyone else rose closer to 6:30- YIKES.) After packing up the campsite they did more hiking & fishing! Shane & Austin headed home a little early because Austin was very congested and starting to get cranky. They got home around 1pm & both took naps until around 4pm!

Fish!

Overall a very successful and fun trip- they will go again in the future!
