Foodie Weekend

This weekend was all about FOOD!  We woke up on Saturday morning & went to the Keller Farmers Market- picked up some fresh peaches, okra, and tamales!!  After that we decided to venture down to Ft Worth and check out the new Trader Joe's (I love it & will be making trips to shop there every few weeks!)  And finally we decided to try out the Ft Worth Food Truck Park!  It was so fun, and I can't wait to take friends & family that are in town visiting.  The whole experience reminded me of something we would do in Austin... so fun!

 I got the Tomato & Mozzarella Grilled Cheese (Shane got the BEST meatball sandwich from an Italian truck!)

*Last Saturday night we had the Windoms over to play and eat dinner!  Austin hadn't seen the boys in probably a month, so they had a great time together~

*On Thursday night we dropped off the keys to our old house & said goodbye- it was tough!  I cried and cried on my way home... can't believe I'm leaving the house where ALL of our memories of Austin growing up (to date) have happened :(  While we were there, we spent a few hours outside playing with all of our neighbors- it was a great sendoff!

*On Saturday we went swimming at Keller Pointe for the first time!  We got a family membership and will be using the facilities for working out and swimming- can't wait!  Austin loves it and is already asking if we can go tomorrow!

*After church today Shane took Austin down to our local creek to do a little fishing!  Shane wasn't sure how long it would last, but they were gone for over 3 hours and Austin LOVED IT!  Shane said he's hooked!  I love that they have something to do together!!

My amazing friend, Amber, planned a painting housewarming party for some of my friends!  I picked out paint colors for the kitchen and dining room- in hopes that we MIGHT get to both rooms!  There were 5 of us, and those girls are work horses- we started painting around 8pm and finished at 3am... seriously.  Aren't they great?

Moving...

It's been a busy last few weeks.  Packing the old house, slowly moving loads over each day, unpacking at the new house, and then our big move with friends (furniture, attic stuff, and 2 storage units) was this past Saturday!  I really can't express what wonderful friends we have- to spend an entire day helping us moving on a HOT July day.. WOW!  Thanks to Mat & Shanna, Jared & Leah, and Josh & Amber!  We started at 9am and ended around 4pm- who knew we had that much stuff!  I didn't take any pictures, as I knew everyone wouldn't want me posted how lovely we all looked!  But here are a few random pics from the week~

Honestly just looking at these pictures makes me tear up.  This is the home we brought our baby Austin home to.  So many sweet memories here.. ugh, it's killing me to leave.  Plus I loved how we had this house decorated exactly as we wanted it.  Don't get me wrong, I love our new house and the potential it has.  But it will be years before we get it updated and decorated.  Speaking of, my first quick fix project.... spray painting all 60+ cabinet handles in the kitchen & laundry room.
