Shane was out mowing this past weekend & I walked into our bedroom to find this:


They were all sitting by the window watching daddy~ so cute! I took the opportunity to snap a few shots of my favorite boys (it was a lazy Sunday, so excuse the pjs.)

Austin showing me one of his boo boo's (on his thumb). It's funny because he has learned that we'll give him attention over a boo boo... so he totally milks it for all it's worth. When he wants something, or is trying to keep from getting into trouble- he shows it to us. :)

Swimming this year & last

Today we spent the morning with some of our close friends- Jared, Leah & Reid! We have a great time every time we get together, and today was no exception! Even though the boys are completely different in so many ways, they get along really well (thank goodness because their parents sure do!) The four of us relaxed in the back yard & chatted about our upcoming "adults only" trip to Boston/NYC in August while watching the boys play in the baby pool! I thought I'd document how much the boys have changed in the past year by comparing pictures from today to last summer!

First off, these two pictures show the difference in their personalities! Reid is very outgoing & adventurous, while Austin is a bit more reserved.

After swimming, Jared grilled hot dog & we enjoyed a yummy lunch outside together! What a blessing to have a family that we have so much in common with & that we enjoy spending time with on a regular basis!

Random happenings

Just wanted to post a few pictures from the last week~

Austin's first popsicle after going for a walk to the park with mommy & daddy- he LOVED it! I got the Mighty Mini ones- so they are smaller & slower to melt!

Shane's mom & grandparents were in town this weekend and we spent Saturday evening with them over at Mat & Shanna's house. Mat grilled hamburgers & we enjoyed playing outside with the kids!

This picture just made me laugh- I took it earlier this week while Austin was eating lunch. Recently he's been putting his hands all in his hair during meals... which totally grosses me out & makes for some very funny hairstyles!

Destin- Part 4

Friday
We got up and headed to the beach- thought we'd give it another try. Thing didn't go much better, but he did end up playing in the sand (but only with one hand while sitting on the beach towel!) We got in one more lunch at Pompano Joe's with friends & then I did some shopping while Austin napped! After dinner my mom & I took Austin for a ride in the wagon~

After playing with Gigi & Papa all morning, we went to lunch with friends before heading to the airport. We had a wonderful week & can't wait to go back soon- hopefully with Shane joining us next time!

Thursday
The highlight of our day was going swimming at Nana & Jim's swimming pool- it's really nice! Austin is fearless when it comes to a swimming pool, and it scares me to death! He had lots of fun & was wore out by the time we headed home!
