This past Thursday was Austin's last day of preschool- it was a sad day for all of us! I will miss having 10 hours a week to myself, and Austin will miss his teachers and friends!
I thought I'd compare the pics from his first day back in September:
Such a big boy
He's ready to go
Last day with Ms Jennifer & Ms Tiffany
Showing us everything from his last day of school (he was in the butterflies class, hence the butterfly on his cheek!)
He got a neat book from his teachers with pictures and artwork from throughout the year- I love it! In the book was information comparing stats from his first day & last- he's changed so much!
Height (Sept)- 36" Height (May)- 40" Weight (Sept)- 32 lbs Weight (May)- 39 lbs... no wonder my back hurts.
Last night was Austin's first preschool program! I was a little unsure how he would react since he doesn't like being up in front of crowds... but he did great! He looked very nervous when they came out on stage, but he just stood there like a little statue- no tears! I thought it was really funny that the boys in his class weren't very interested in the performance, but the girl... BRAVO LADIES! They said their class scripture together & then sang the song "I am a Promise" (hence the P on each shirt.) After the program we went back to Austin's classroom for a cookie reception (which, of course, he loved!) We also got really cute Mother's Day & Father's Day gifts that he'd made for us! A wonderful evening overall!
Looking very nervous!
The Butterflies class
Notice the other little boy in this picture.... statue.
The REAL performers
Getting into it a little.. maybe?
I think that's a smile!
Our gifts (yes, I know, my child takes such great pictures- right???)
Videos to come when Shane downloads them from his phone!
For the first time since we've been married, we were able to spend Easter with at least one member of our family- my mom! She was in town visiting & helping me prepare for our upcoming garage sale! We headed to church on Saturday night- it's still weird to me on holidays like Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc to not go to church on Sunday morning. Anyway, few pics before church~
The three of us
Austin and Gigi (precious, huh?)
Sunday morning we got up and had donuts, since he wasn't going to get enough sugar with all the candy. He opened his Easter basket & then hunted eggs later in the afternoon!
Easter basket, new colored pencils and markers, and this dog that he's been wanting that barks and walks (the cats are not a fan.)
A few weeks ago we had pictures take for Austin's 3rd birthday! My friend, Paige (Paige Pearson Photography), took the pics and told Shane & I to coordinate with Austin's outfit "just in case" we had time for a few family shots! Well of course she got a TON of great ones- fantastic job! Here are a few:
