Memorial Day Weekend!

Our busy Memorial Day Weekend started off with a BOOM when we headed to Keller Fest on Friday night!  We had never been before, but several of our neighbors were going & so we decided to meet up with them!  After riding rides, checking out the petting zoo, checking out all the vendor tents, we got some food & sat down on a quilt to wait for the fireworks to start!  The wind delayed the fireworks until almost 10pm, so we left- but ended up watching them from the parking lot as we pulled out!  It was the first time I can remember Austin really enjoying fireworks- he's talked about them a lot since!

On Saturday we spent most of the day at the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens- it was lovely!  Afterwards we decided to head over near the zoo & ride the Forest Park Miniature Train.  We've seen it and heard great things about it, but this was our first time..... now I'm wishing we'd done it before!  Austin LOVED it.  Thankfully it was about a 45 min ride!  We ended the fun day with dinner at our favorite mexican food place- La Hacienda Ranch, or course!

Sunday was church, antique/boutique shopping in downtown Grapevine, ice cream,  and then a cookout at Mat & Shanna's house!  The kids had a fun time playing in the water, and we enjoyed trying an "Aussie burger"!  We also enjoyed meeting more of Mat & Shanna's friends!
