Cruise (Days 2- Barbados)

Monday- Barbados

I woke up at 6:30 on Monday morning (which would typically not be a good thing), but when you have this view... it's not so bad!

We had a relaxing morning on the ship & then grabbed a quick bite for lunch before leaving for our afternoon excursion!  We went to Cockspur Beach Club and relaxed on the beach (working on our tans, playing in the water, drinking some rum punch!)  Afterwards we did a little shopping at the dock & then got on board for 6pm departure!  That night we switched to select dining and were able to eat whenever we wanted and with just us 4- loved that!  After a casual dinner we enjoyed a few evening shows in one of the lounges- my favorite was the "Not So Newlywed Game"!  And typically we ended every night in the casino!!

Relaxing by the pool before lunch

Stacy guessing the weight of a watermelon- fun games :)

Now that's traveling in style

Cruise (Day 1- At sea)

Sunday- Day at Sea

We took our time getting up on Sunday & spent most of the day at the pool and eating (isn't that what you do on a cruise??)  That evening was formal night, so we opted to eat at one of the specialty restaurants- Qsine.  It was such a neat place- decorated modern and the menu was even on iPads!  Fun time!

Can't beat this view at lunch!

Friday & Saturday- Travel Day & Boarding the Ship

The four of us (me, mom, Linda, and Stacy) met in Atlanta on Friday before catching a flight out to Puerto Rico the following morning! After arriving we had dinner & then settled in for an early morning wake-up!

Getting off the shuttle from the airport

Addicted to technology.. our last few hours

Headed to the airport

Boarding the ship- I had to turn off my phone data plan!

Shortly after boarding we had to go listen to the safety presentation & then unpacked in our rooms!

This is Linda & Stacy's room- our was the same & adjoining to theirs~

Starbucks!

A new Starbucks was opening right near out house, and a friend of mine told me that they were doing a big giveaway on opening morning! This was only the 2nd Starbucks in the country to try the new giveaway, so it wasn't very advertised.... AWESOME!

So 4 of us girls got up and arrived at Starbucks by 4am (it was opening 10 minutes early at 4:50 this morning!) When we got there, I noticed a line- but not a very large one! I'd say there were 15 people ahead of us, and by the time it opened.... there were at least 50.

Waiting in line (we were bundled up because we had to wait outside for 45 minutes before the doors opened!) Mindy, Amy, Amber & I

What did I get as one of the first 50 people in the door? How about 52 grande beverages in the coming year!! Yes, that's one per week (although I can use them as often as I want)! And not just a coffee, I could order the fanciest and most expensive drink in the store! So I figure that's a value of almost $300! WHOO HOO! Definitely worth getting up early!

The golden ticket!

Tickets in hand = happy girls!

Chocolate Hamburgers

At dinner the other night I asked Austin to tell Shane about the special treat he ate with his friend, Addy... so he proceeded to tell Shane about the chocolate hamburgers (ice cream sandwiches.) Love it! :)
