Destin: Part 1

We had a great trip to Destin! Since there are so many pics, I will be breaking the trip into several blog posts... here goes!

Wednesday/Thursday
We flew in on Wednesday evening and decided we'd hit beach first thing on Thursday! I was worried about if Austin would like the beach because it terrified him last May. He was a little fearful of the sound of the waves at first, but loved it in no time!

After dinner we headed to the kiddie park for rides! We weren't intending on taking him on the bumper boats or go cart... but he was tall enough to go with an adult. He LOVED this place! Thankfully we were able to take advantages of the "locals discount" on tickets!

On Friday we headed back to the kiddie park- but this time Mommy got to have some fun!

Father's Day Gift

Shane needed a new tall coffee mug, so we made him one for Father's Day! It's Austin's handprint upside down made into a longhorn (you can't see the horns very well in this pic!) And when I say "made", I mean we went to Sunshine Glaze & had them do Austin's handprint... and then had the artist design the rest. :)

I thought she did a great job overall- loved the little UT design on the handle too. You can also see one of the horns better in this pic. Shane loved it!

Slip and Slide

Today I bought a $10 slip & slide at Target- best $10 I've spent lately. Austin had so much fun playing in it (even though he doesn't completely understand the concept- he likes to run & jump in the water.)

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we went to Mat & Shanna's house for a cookout with some friends! Austin & Evie had a lot of fun playing in the backyard- especially in the baby pool and new sandpit that Mat built!

Saylor

Introducing Saylor... Austin's new best friend. Seriously, I hear her name at least 25 times a day. Thankfully she is one of my good friend's little girl & she is a sweetheart :)


We had Saylor over to play a few weeks ago when her mommy was out of town & daddy had to work! After lunch at Chick-fil-A (where everyone thought I had twins), we went home and got a little bit of playtime in before naps!
