Weekend with Evie

Austin's cousin, Evie, stayed with us this weekend while Mat & Shanna went to a marriage retreat!  We planned lots of fun stuff since the cousins only do sleepovers about once a year!  Evie came over on Friday afternoon & the kids decorated Halloween cupcakes together.  They had so much fun & were very proud of themselves afterwards.  They played upstairs while I cooked dinner & then we played outside afterwards~

On Saturday morning we woke up early to attend Jenny's Run for Hope!  It was a wonderful event- we participated in the 1 mile fun run & then the kids jumped on the bounce houses before the pancake breakfast! 

This is right after I told Austin that we couldn't jump on the bounce houses until after the fun run.

Afterwards we headed to the park to play and feed the ducks, then lunch, "naps", dinner, and an early bedtime!!

On Sunday we took the kids to ride the Forest Park Miniature Railroad!  It was Evie's first time and she had a blast!

Such a fun weekend!  We can't wait until next time!

This and that

A few weeks ago Saylor needed a ride to school, so she came over and played for a bit before we left.  I thought this was a cute picture of them hanging out on the patio with Max (Saylor LOVES Max!)  

We also recently got a table and chairs for outside!  Shane found it at this neat outdoor furniture store for 60% off (end of season sale!)  We've eaten dinner outside a few times and Austin & I eat lunch out there often!  It's so peaceful- love sitting out there and listening to the birds and squirrels while we eat!!

 And lastly, we had a fun little birthday lunch for Amber!  Love this sweet friend and so glad she's in my life!

Western Day

Today was Western Day at preschool!  Austin dressed like a cowboy (boots at all!)  I wasn't able to attend the activities (sorry no pics), but they had pony rides and a petting zoo!
